The design and construction of the Living Heritage craft show web
site is possibly one of the most challenging projects undertaken by
aXcessTen.
The site's Google search engine top ranking is a
testament to the relevance and comprehensive nature of the information
contained within the site and of its popularity - more than one
thousand unique visitors go to the site for information every day of
the week, resulting in approximately one million web site hits each
month.
At the heart of the web site is a bespoke content
management system that enables a single person within the Living
Heritage organisation to manage and maintain the entire content on the
web site. This system incorporates a 'show builder' to enable the
annual craft show programme to be defined in terms of venue, crafts,
crafters, events, attractions, dates and admission prices, all of which
are contained within a databases established by our client. A
communications centre enables relevant e-mail communications to be sent
to selected members on the visitor list of more than 500,000 members.
