East Midlands Business Incubation Network
A membership, information and support web portal for new and early-stage business based in business incubation units throughout the East Midlands region of the UK.

East Midlands Incubation Network

The East Midlands Incubation Network (EMIN) consists of a large number of diverse start-up and young businesses located in many incubation centres around the region. The portal was developed to support these businesses, providing targeted advice and assistance in an easily accessible and cost-effective manner.

This portal has many similarities to the West Midlands IT Association portal that we also developed but additionally contains many unique elements to cater for the needs of its wider membership, including service providers and intermediaries, such as Business Links, Legal and Accounting firms, banks and regional business leaders.
A unique feature of the portal is the MyEMIN areas that are customised for, and managed by, individual members, enabling a custom view of the information on the site to be assembled. Another innovation is the instant messaging system, where members are able to exchange messages in real time with other members who are logged in at the same time. Each member is able to maintain a list of personal contact to enable groups with common business interests to be constructed and maintained.
